Gold River is made up of "villages" that are either gated
neighborhoods containing halfplexes with patios and amenities like a
clubhouse, pool, spa and tennis courts or 2,000-3,500 square foot
single family homes with good sized backyards. The homeowners’ association
regulates the look of the home’s exteriors. All homes are painted beige on
the outside and the exteriors and the front landscaping is maintained by
the association.
Although Robert Powell is the primary developer in this area, other
builders have completed subdivisions. Their approach has been to give the
exterior designs of their homes more individual character.
Residents of Gold River love their lifestyle. They have a private
protection company, are conveniently located for commutes, have bike
trails running through their community, and enjoy the booming economy of
the Sacramento area.
Located so near to Highway 50, residents are able to quickly drive to
the wineries of El Dorado, the gold country, the Delta, Sacramento, or
Lake Tahoe.
Gold River's neighbor, Rancho Cordova has been enjoying a commercial
boom. Office complexes and high tech start-ups have decided that
Rancho Cordova is a good place to build.
